Earlier in the month, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Commented

Nascar Drivers

Earlier in the month, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Commented he can be leaving Dale Earnhardt Inc, the team that his mythical pop started. The most well liked NASCAR driver today asserted that he is going to be racing for a new team when the new season starts next year.

His call came after failing to get control of DEI from stepmother Teresa Earnhardt.

After the first shocked reaction of the NASCAR country, the industry was full of speculations and expectancies where the young Earnhardt would go after the current season. While he has his very own team competing at the Busch Series, pros expect him to find a longtime team that will be competing at the Nextel Cup Series. This is due to the incontrovertible fact that running a team at this level desires a ton of financing and whilst Earnhardt Jr. Gains a bunch of cash from his sponsor, it isn’t as giant as the budget of major racing teams. Lately there were talks that Earnhardt might be speaking with Joe Gibbs Racing, or JGR, that is owned by the Hall-Of-Fame Yank football coach Joe Gibbs. Lately , the distinguished team owner took a break from the Redskins coaching camp to enjoy the All-Star Challenge. In the declared event, Joe Gibbs commented about the talks pronouncing that Dale Junior is on his way to joining JGR. Though he talked about Dale Jr, he didn’t mention if they’re going to be taking in Earnhardt for the subsequent season or not. We chatted a lot about it last week and were pretty forthright about it, says Gibbs. At this time we aren’t going to comment about it and let the thing finished. We think we’ve asserted what’s vital about it. Now it isn’t about to do any good to chat any more about it. He added that : Junior wants to go thru the standard deal and we’ll see what occurs. The things we do at ( Joe Gibbs Racing ) effects a large amount of folk and I do not believe it’s something that we want to talk about it. In the meantime , for his part, Earnhardt related that he is extraordinarily happy with the developments in his search for a new team. Things are good, announces Earnhardt. We haven’t hit any speed bumps or obstacles, and the temperature of the conversations that we have had up to this point have been terribly good. though the favored driver could be assured in his search for a new team, lots of his fans are enthusiastically waiting for stories that would tell them where Earnhardt will race for come the next season. Whilst JGR hasn’t committed to taking in Dale Earnhardt Jr. For the subsequent season, Rick Hendrick of Hendrick Motorsports related that there’s no room in their team for Dale Junior. In a chat with the Associated Press, Hendrick has this to point out about Dale Jr. : We are good buddies and I have talked to him, because I actually would like him to make the best call and do the best thing for himself. But at this time, I am full. In the meantime , another team which is seen by some as a good choice for the favored driver is Richard Childress Racing.

This is the team his late pa raced for and won championships. But up to this point, it appears that Dale Junior is avoiding falling into the shade of his pop as he hasn’t yet entered into talks with RCR. Not long ago , Richard Childress, the owner of the team commented about the predicament of the most well-liked NASCAR driver today.

Dale is like family to me, expounded Childress. I remember him from a kid growing up. He knows I am always there for him. I would like to give him the best recommendation and I may support him wherever he goes. I should support whatever he wants to do. We haven’t talked since he made his call. I just need him to take a little time and look at whatever is out there. The time will come right when we will chat. And if it is in the cards, whatever will be, will be. He added that : any one would like to have Dale Jr. Drive for them. I’m of the opinion that he would fit in our organization. Our drivers, I have talked to them. I know they’d fit with him and the crew chiefs. It has to mix. It needs to be positive not only for Dale Jr. To come over except for all our sponsors, all our race groups, for everybody concerned. And that is the same wherever he goes. If ever Junior joined RCR, there are talks the team might revive the Number three car that his pa drove for the team and tragically died on. Though Junior admitted that he’s not cosy driving the No. 3 car.

Indeed, there are those that would would like to see Dale Jr. Follow in his father’s step by joining Richard Childress Racing but there are people who disagree exclaiming that Junior wants to make a name for his very own and that suggests staying away from RCR and the No. Three car.

But one thing is for sure though, Junior needs to concentrate on racing especially that he was recently docked 100 points which puts him outside the top twelve in the driver’s standings. He is currently ranked 14th with 1160 points, 721 points behind leader Jeff Gordon. So far, he only has recorded one top-five finish and four top-ten finishes. Although he is driving a Chevrolet Impala which currently dominates the current Nextel Cup Series like a high-powered sports car equipped with the Dynomax exhaust dominates an entry level sedan, Dale Junior seems to be struggling. For now, Earnhardt must focus on racing for DEI, after all, this might be the last year he will be driving for his father’s team.

Take some time to learn a little bit about NASCAR tracks.

Atlanta Motor Speedway

Hampton Georgia is home to one of the most popular NASCAR tracks, the 870 square acre Atlanta Motor Speedway.  The facility added a new Grandstand and luxury seating in 2006, meaning an additional 13,000 people could attend races there.  They also added parking along the back stretch, large spaces for 90 motor homes.

Bristol Motor Speedway

Bristol International Speedway, later changed to Bristol Motor Speedway, took a year to finish (1960-1961).  The plans for the track were written on scraps of paper, envelopes and paper bags.  When Bristol Smith purchased the track in 1996 he expanded seating to over 160,000.

Lowe’s Motor Speedway

When Hollywood looks for NASCAR tracks they often pick this one – movies such as Days of Thunder filmed there as did music videos like If the Good Die Young.  It is also the site of a lot of auto research as well as testing done by racing teams.  This speedway also is the site of two of the country’s biggest car shows and swap meets – these are called the Food Lion Auto Fairs, held in September and April.  300 out of 365 days, something is happening at the speedway

Chicagoland Speedway

It was August 1999 when Chicago’s entry into the pantheon of NASCAR tracks began – it was to fill 930 acres.  Chicagoland Speedway received its official name at a press conference at Navy Pier in May of 2000.  The first race winner at Chicagoland Speedway was Jimmie Johnson who was victorious in a Busch Series contest on July 14, 2001.  Chicagoland was host to a Cup event the next day – Kevin Harvick was the winner.

Daytona International Speedway

Daytona had many tracks before it hosted any NASCAR tracks, but the Daytona International Speedway first opened in 1959.  20  years earlier what would become the Daytona 500 raced along a beach highway there.

In 1998 Dale Earnhardt finally won a Daytona 500 at the track, after 19 previous tries at the race.  NASCAR changed forever when, in 2001 on the 4th turn, Earnhardt crashed and was killed.

Many other events are held here, as most NASCAR tracks are home to multiple events.  These include the July Pepsi 400, a premiere endurance race called the Rolex 24, and motorcycle races that are the highlight of the annual bike week.
